A well prepared surface is key for an on-spot finish. Efforts being put in eliminating imperfections and in preparing the surface for priming and painting will undoubtedly pay off at the final
result. The aircraft modelers (ACM in the following) in particular would be well advised to equip themselfes with the right tools to make the process as thorough and perfect as possible.
ACMs are also often confronted with surface detail which might get lost during the assembly process. Again tools are key here to keep the amount of time put into recreating the lost details as
low as possible. I´m just saying "riveting" and you know what I´m talking about.
This section of our shop is dedicated to provide you with stress-tested and carefully selected materials, enabling you to equip yourself with the just the right item, saving you time, hassle,
money and disappointments during a "try and error process."
I personally guarantee you that all items being shown in this section work as per description. Please take a second and check out the PRODUCTS IN DETAIL section for more comments and analysis. Enjoy your stay at our pages.

Just some thoughts
The model of a Ho 229 is a perfect example on how surface preparation is key for the tasks ahead. On this model in the 72nd scale, I engraved the vast majority of the visible panel lines. This
task required a constant cleaning of the newly applied lines. Wet sanding with fine sanding tools bacame a standard task on all sides of the wings. This was key to having clean panel lines which
are able to accommodate the wood grain decals as well as a subsequently applied pin wash with oil paints.
Of course the bare metal effects also required some proper preparation. Most of the metal paints I´m using (ALC, MRP, GNZ) are very thin, so any lil imperfection will be showing through. You just
need some cool prepping tools and you´ll master this stage like a boss. Easy peasy.
Many people think like "Ouh, this is rocket science. I dont want to get involved in that." Well, I think it is merely about doing the right and very simple thing at just the right time. Having
your model ready for being painted is a major step during the entire build. It can be very satisfying and enjoyable. Especially while knowing that you´re perfectly prepared for the next chapter
of the intellectual adventure of building a scale model. These products are here to help you and make your project as enjoyable as possible.
